Live Oak beats Ponchatoula 35-14 after slow start

News

DENHAM SPRINGS – Live Oak started out slowly. The Eagles did score the first touchdown of the game when Lee Hawkins hit the goal line for the game’s opening touchdown.

The Green Wave scored 14 unanswered however. Ponchatoula’s Elijah Winters returned a punt for a touchdown to end the first quarter scoring, and in the second, LSU commit T.J. Finley threw a touchdown to Braydon Johnson.

However, the Eagles would come back and win the game with a multi-touchdown lead.

FINAL: Live Oak 35, Ponchatoula 14.
