BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A man from Walker was arrested for DWI on Monday, December 19. This was the second time that 24-year-old Dylan Sasso was charged with this crime.

Sasso was driving a Toyota truck when a traffic stop was initiated on Siegen Lane.

The traffic stop was made after a member of the Louisiana State Police saw the truck moving slowly with its hazard lights on, according to the affidavit.

Sasso got out of the vehicle when asked by the trooper. The affidavit states that the Walker man had an injury to his face and his breath smelled like alcohol.

When asked to explain what was going on, the 24-year-old said he chucked his girlfriend’s vape out of the car and was searching for it.

The Walker man was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests and did not do well. Sasso was arrested and declined to take a chemical breath test.

The Livingston Parish man was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Monday, December 19, and charged with one count of Operating while Intoxicated; second offense.

On that same day, the Walker man was released on bond.
