LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) — The Livingston Parish School Board will hold a special school board meeting at 5 p.m., Thursday at the school board office.

On the meeting’s agenda, Livingston Parish will discuss the superintendent’s proposal for addressing employee concerns, the school board’s efforts in finding a solution to teacher pay raises, and teachers will express concerns about the failed proposed one-cent tax.

This school board meeting comes at the tail of schools closing in Livingston Parish due to teachers’ absences and the failed proposed tax to increase teachers’ pay.

Along with the listed items on the agenda, the school board members will also talk about completing Denham Springs Football and Track improvement and a new fieldhouse for French Settlement High School baseball.
