BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Over the weekend, two teenagers and a third juvenile, whose age has not been released, were arrested for their alleged ties to the burglary of a local gun store.

According to Baton Rouge Police (BRPD), the burglary took place Saturday (August 27) evening and the three suspects were located the following morning.

Police say one of the suspects is 14 years old, the other is 13 years of age, and the third suspect’s age has not been released.

Police say the youths were apprehended at a home within the 3700 block of Winbourne Avenue around 11:48 a.m., Sunday (August 28).

BRPD adds that authorities confiscated a total of 17 stolen guns at the Winbourne home.

The two teens have been booked into East Baton Rouge Juvenile Detention for burglary of a business.

According to authorities, the investigation into this case remains ongoing.
