PAINCOURTVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) — Deputies are seeking two teenagers connected to a Paincourtville shooting incident Tuesday.
The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office said deputies and agents responded to the shooting incident in the Grant Loop Road area. A suspect, James E. Thomas, 40, of Paincourtville, was arrested after deputies conducted a search that yielded crack cocaine.
Thomas was arrested and booked into Assumption Parish Detention Center on a charge of possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine. He was released after posting a $25,000 bond.
The sheriff’s office said two others are wanted in connection to the shooting. Sheriff Leland Falcon identified the suspects as 18-year-old Wayne Sullivan and a 17-year-old. Both are wanted on charges of two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and one count of illegal use of a weapon.
“Those arrests are expected shortly,” the sheriff’s office said.
