BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – One person is dead and three others are injured after an accident on River Road on Thursday.

The Baton Rouge Police Traffic Homicide Detectives learned that around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, 21-year-old Alejandro Cordova was driving a 2007 Mazda RX8 at a high speed on River Road. He hit a Ford F-150 while entering the northbound lane and died at the scene.

Three people were inside the Ford and were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are investigating the accident.
