1 killed, 2 injured in early morning shooting on Florida Blvd.

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Baton Rouge Police Department was called to a reported shooting at approximately 1 a.m. on Saturday, April 10.

Upon arrival, 25-year-old Kendrick Johnese, of 636 Winding Way “was observed in the parking lot suffering from apparent gunshot wounds,” according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.

Johnese died at the scene.

Two other 25-year-old men were shot and had to be taken to a hospital.

BRPD describes their injuries as moderate to severe.

The investigation into this deadly shooting remains open.
