1-year-old grazed by bullet in Tangipahoa Parish shooting, suspect wanted

HAMMOND, La. (BRPROUD) — Tangipahoa Parish authorities seek a suspect connected to a shooting where a one-year-old was grazed by a bullet.

On Jan. 6, Tangipahoa Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) responded to a shooting on Old Baton Rouge Highway. The child was grazed by a bullet as shots were fired at the victim’s trailer, according to TPSO.

The suspect of this shooting was identified by detectives as 23-year-old Charles “Smooth” Pines Jr.
