(WGMB-WVLA) BATON ROUGE, La– The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office raided the Vegas Vape Shop and Unwine Paint Bar on Coursey Boulevard Sunday morning after concerned citizens came forward with complaints on the Unwine Paint Bar.

EBRSO says after a two month investigation, investigators discovered the business was allegedly a strip club offering private dances.

Each of the business operators were among 12 people arrested and both faced charges of operating without a permit.

However, Demond Eames tells us Vegas Vapes did nothing wrong.

“The owner was getting it straigt and they didn’t give him enough time to work it out to get things in place to get the license renewed.

The business had a good license.

It just recently expired at the end of January and they were trying to get it straight.” says Eames.

The Sheriff’s Office says along with the arrests, they also seized four handguns, one ounce of marijuana, one gram of heroin alone with one gram of cocaine.
