BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – 15 local kids got the opportunity to go on a shopping spree with Baton Rouge native and now NFL free agent Dylan Moses.

Moses says having someone in their corner can make a huge difference in directing their path away from violence.

“Growing up, I’ve seen a lot of kids come and go because of violence in the city and not having anyone to, you know, guide them along the path and I just feel like them having someone in their corner that’s willing to help them, you know, go a long way,” said Moses.

The kids were gifted a $100 Academy gift card to buy the sporting goods.

Additionally, Academy Sports + Outdoors provided the Capital Area Police Athletic League (PAL) with a $1,500 gift card to select new sports equipment for its program.
