17-year-old facing upgraded charge after father dies in hospital

Anthony Templet has been charged with manslaughter after his father passed away in a hospital.  

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office released this statement:

On Thursday June 6, 2019, I received information from the East Baton Rouge Coroner’s Office concerning the victim (Burt Templet).  On this date at approximately 1100 hours, the victim succumb to his gunshot injuries.  An autopsy will be scheduled at a later time.    

The Accused “Anthony Templet” is currently housed at the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.  Due to the death of the victim, Anthony Templet’s charges has been upgraded to Louisiana Revised Statue 14:31 MANSLAUGHTER

This comes after police received an early morning call on June 3 that a man had shot and killed his father.

According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, Anthony Templet fired three rounds at his father hitting the victim in the head and torso.  

Anthony Templet is currently in the East Baton Rouge Prison.
