WALKER, La. (BRPROUD) — Three suspects linked to a Sunday shooting that left one teen injured were arrested Tuesday.

Deputies responded to Larry Drive on Sunday, Oct. 30 after midnight where they found an 18-year-old victim, according to Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard. The victim was taken to a hospital and is now in stable condition.

Through investigation, detectives learned that three suspects came to Larry Drive for an alleged drug deal with the victim. Ard said the three suspects are not from the parish but are believed to have ties to the area.

A 17-year-old from Sunset, 18-year-old Cooper Guidry of Sunset, and 18-year-old Jacoreyon Weatherall of Vinton allegedly tried to rob the victim before shooting.

The juvenile and Guidry were arrested on a charge of attempted armed robbery. Weatherall was arrested on charges of attempted armed robbery and attempted second-degree murder.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office said an investigation is ongoing.
