2017 Camp Fair & Summer Vacation Expo planned for March 25th

BATON ROUGE, La (LOCAL 33) - Plan your summer in one day at the 22nd annual Camp Fair & Summer Vacation Expo on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at center court of the Mall of Louisiana. This popular event helps parents select the camp of their kid’s and teen’s dreams.

Parents can meet with representatives from local camps and overnight camps located in the southeast area that offer programs for kids of all ages and grade levels. Many of these specialty camps offer instruction in activities that range from rock climbing, performing arts, sports leagues and clinics to skiing, science, technology, engineering and math, and will be in attendance.

Sending your child off to camp, or to any summer program, is not something parents do on a whim. At the Camp Fair & Summer Vacation Expo, moms and dads can research and talk with the program leaders and camp directors face-to-face, and get all of their questions answered.

“The opportunity for children to explore the diverse activities available, and parents to meet the people behind these fantastic programs, is informative and very time efficient,” says Baton Rouge Parents Magazine’s Associate Publisher, Brandon Foreman. “When school's out, camp is in, and this annual event for families offers a way for kids to get even more excited for their summer holidays.”

Admission to the event is free, and will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017 from

10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at center court of the Mall of Louisiana. There will be family-friendly and children’s entertainment all day with over $3,000 in giveaways and prizes, including a Club Med family vacation.

The event is produced by Baton Rouge Parents Magazine, A Division of Family Resource Group, Inc.
