BAYOU L’OURSE, La. (BRPROUD) – A man faces burglary charges after multiple thefts occurred at a local business.
On July 1, authorities began an investigation into the $25,000 in materials stolen from the business. Deputies identified the suspects, conducted a search warrant and recovered the stolen materials. Further investigation by the sheriff’s office found that the suspects stole from the business five different times.
Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Trevor Joseph Landry of Franklin following the investigation. According to authorities, there are warrants out for two other suspects related to the case — 21-year-old Kyle B. Bellard of Morgan City and 19-year-old Caleb Lipari of Patterson. The sheriff’s office reports that both men are currently in custody at the St. Mary Parish jail and are soon to be transported to Assumption Parish.
Landry faces five counts of simple burglary. Authorities said he was released from the Assumption Parish Detention Center after posting a $100,000 bond.
