UPDATE: The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of three more suspects. These arrests include:
- Jose Gordillo, 18, of Gulfport, MS
- Hector Barahona, 20, of New Orleans, La.
- Brayon Pacheco, 18, of Harvey, La.
The three have been charged with armed robbery.
NAPOLEONVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested five suspects in connection to an armed robbery at Cane Row Casino on Thursday, Sept. 29.
According to APSO, the suspects contain three adults and two juveniles.
The suspects are:
- Jonathan Lopez, 19, of Harvey, La.
- Roller Avila, 19, of Donaldsonville, La.
- Norman Escalate-Gudiel, 18, of Terrytown, La.
- A 17-year-old juvenile from Gretna, La.
- A 16-year-old juvenile from Marrero, La.
All suspects have been charged with armed robbery with a firearm.
Officials say after detectives engaged in search warrants, they found a significant amount of evidence linked to the robbery.
“This investigation was extensive and very detailed and would not have been possible without the assistance of our law enforcement partners,” Sheriff Leland Falcon said.
