A slightly different “Touch a Truck” event happening at OLOL Children’s Hospital on Monday

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Something special is returning to the Capital City this month.

A drive by parade is taking place for patients at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital thanks to the Junior League of Baton Rouge.

The 6th Annual Touch a Truck event is scheduled to take place at the BREC State Fairgrounds on Saturday, April 17.

On Monday, April 5, a “Touch a Truck” preview event is happening for patients at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.

According to Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital, “there will be approximately eight vehicles participating in a quick parade and then will each be introduced on the hospital’s closed circuit TV.”

Unlike “Touch a Truck” events in the past, participants will not be able to touch any of the trucks due to COVID-19.

Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital is located at 8300 Constantin Blvd.
