Accidental email to company thread turns into funny responses and social media trend

BATON ROUGE, LA (WVLA/WGMB)– If you’re busy on Twitter tonight you may be wondering why #PrayersforNick and #NexstarNation are trending.

Someone accidentally responded to the Nexstar company wide breaking news email chain to let everyone know that Nick Vasos of Fox 4 in Kansas City would be out on Friday. We’re assuming they meant to send the email to everyone at their station only.

Night crews across the country began to chime in to the email thread sending over 50 back to back emails with well wishes for the anchorman.

Of course, all fun had to come to an end when a member of the corporate staff locked the email thread and asked that email responses stop so as to not keep others from missing potentially breaking news.
