ST. HELENA PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) — Tips led to the early October arrest of an accused drug dealer in St. Helena Parish.
The St. Helena Parish Sheriff’s Office identified the accused drug dealer as 45-year-old Ivy Lee Watson. Investigators learned that Watson was allegedly selling drugs from his Horseshoe Road home.
Watson was arrested and booked into jail on Oct. 5 on four counts of drug charges, drug paraphernalia, creating operation of a clandestine laboratory, and possession of a firearm with controlled dangerous substance.
The sheriff’s office said Louisiana State Police DEA and the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.
“As Sheriff of this parish, I recognize there are drugs being dealt on our streets,” Sheriff Nathaniel Williams said in a social media post. “I want the public to know that the deputies and our partners from other agencies are dedicated to fighting drugs in our parish and putting the ones responsible in jail. We will not stop if you are dealing drugs in St. Helena Parish, we are coming for you. The next door we go through may be yours.”
