A shot taken in Penscola, Florida, a few hours before the start of the downtown Mardi Gras parade in 2007. The ready nature of these beads, contrasted in a quiet and isolated moment, seem to just beckon for a photograph. Needless to say, hours later these beads were spread all over downtown amongst participants, sidewalks, balconies, and even in trees and on lamp posts!

BATON ROUGE, La. (WVLA/WGMB) — The Krewe of Comogo parade in Plaquemine will take place today, according to city officials.

“We are flooded with phone calls because Google shows tomorrow night (Feb.24),” said board member Rhonda Harrell.

Google showed two parades listed online, at the time this article was written. One event reflected the correct information, while a second post showed another event for the following day.

The parade begins at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23. More information may be found on the group’s official website.
