All BRCC campuses to close early due to Tropical Storm Ida

BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD)- Due to the threat of Tropical Storm Ida in the Gulf, all Baton Rouge Community College campuses will close today at 1 p.m., to allow students and employees to prepare for the storm.

All Friday afternoon classes and activities scheduled after 1 p.m. and throughout the weekend will be canceled due to the severe weather threatening the Gulf Coast.

The BRCC administration is closely monitoring the storm as it is predicted to make landfall this weekend. The college will make further announcements regarding the status of Monday’s classes and business operations during the coming weekend.

The BRCC campus locations include: Mid City Campus, Acadian Site, Ardendale Site, Central Site, Frazier Site, Jackson Site, New Roads, and Port Allen Site.
