BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) – Officials are announcing office building closures due to Tropical Storm Nicholas.
State Office Closures
Thirty-eight state offices will be closed on Sept. 15 due to Tropical Storm Nicholas, including: Acadia, Allen, Ascension, Assumption, Avoyelles, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Evangeline, Iberia, Iberville, Jeff Davis, Jefferson, Lafayette, Lafourche, Livingston, Orleans, Plaquemines, Pointe Coupee, Rapides, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, Vermilion, Vernon, Washington, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana.
All City-Parish buildings will be closed on Sept. 15, including City Hall and all community centers due to potential inclement weather from Tropical Storm Nicholas, Mayor Broome says.
Due to the uncertainty of the weather, City-Parish is taking this action as a precaution.
Baton Rouge City Court:
The Baton Rouge City Court will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 15. Employees will be expected to report to work on Thursday unless told otherwise.
Clerk of Court’s Office:
The East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court’s Office will be closed on Sept. 15.
Louisiana State Capitol:
House and Senate offices
