BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Authorities were called to the East Campus Apartments Parking Lot on Friday night.

Officers arrived at the scene around 8:50 p.m. and saw “three individuals engaged in a physical altercation,” according to the affidavit.

Each individual was taken into custody peacefully and questioned about the fight.

After questioning, authorities discovered that 20-year-old Freddie Peter Washington hit one of the subjects in the back with a brick.

From there, Washington allegedly threatened that same person with a pocket knife.

After being told to give up his vehicle by Washington, one victim was joined by the other in fighting back.

During this part of the altercation, the knife was taken away from Washington, but not before “one of the victims sustained a cut beneath his eye.”

The affidavit states that Washington also “bit the same victim’s wrist, causing a deep wound.”

Both victims were able to restrain the 20-year-old.

Washington is facing these charges:

  • One Count of Armed Robbery
  • One count of Second Degree Battery
  • Two counts of Aggravated Battery

Washington was released from the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison after posting bail.
