BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD)- The Salvation Army Greater Baton Rouge has extended the deadline for Angel Tree applications, adding an additional four days for those in need to submit for Christmas assistance.
“We had so many people come to receive assistance due to Hurricane Ida that we felt it important to add additional days for signing up for Christmas Assistance this year.” shares Major Donald Tekautz.
Last year, in Greater Baton Rouge, the Angel Tree program provided Christmas assistance to more than 2,500 children as well as food boxes for Christmas dinners.
Sign-ups are all online this year. You can apply for assistance through the Angel Tree program at: SalvationArmyBatonRouge.org.
Registration will close on Oct. 15 at 11:59 p.m.
