Anonymous tip leads to seven arrests in Ascension Parish

ST. AMANT, La. (BRPROUD) — An anonymous tip led to the arrest of seven people by the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office.

On Sunday, Oct. 17, Deputies conducted a search at a home on Gold Place Road that yielded the seizure of heroin, methamphetamine, amphetamine pill and other drug paraphernalia.

The following were arrested:

37-year-old Brandy Garner of Prairieville faces charges of possession of schedule III CDS and possession of drug paraphernalia.

56-year-old John Tullier Jr. of St. Amant faces charges of possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with the intent to distribute heroin, possession with the intent to distribute amphetamine pills, possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor bench warrants for failure to appear.

39-year-old Spencer Rouyea of St. Amant faces charges of possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with the intent to distribute heroin, possession with the intent to distribute amphetamine pills, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony bench warrant for failure to appear, and misdemeanor bench warrants for failure to appear.

19-year-old Christina Morris of St. Amant faces charges of resisting an officer, possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with the intent to distribute heroin, possession with the intent to distribute amphetamine pills, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony bench warrant for failure to appear, and misdemeanor bench warrants for failure to appear.

36-year-old Rodney Carlson of St. Amant faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a legend drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor bench warrant for failure to appear.

50-year-old Shawn Leblanc of Prairieville faces charges of possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with the intent to distribute heroin, possession with the intent to distribute amphetamine pills, possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor bench warrant for failure to appear.

27-year-old Darien Bennet of Prairieville faces charges of possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with the intent to distribute heroin, possession with the intent to distribute amphetamine pills, possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor bench warrants for failure to appear. In addition, Bennett had active warrants for second-degree battery (domestic violence), aggravated assault with a firearm (domestic violence), misdemeanor theft, resisting an officer, and 3 counts of criminal trespass.
