April 30: Free mask giveaways and testing site updates in Greater Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRProud) — Areas of Greater Baton Rouge will have free face mask giveaways, thanks to Hanes Corporation and state and local government officials. A new testing site in Baker will also open, providing information on how senior citizens can register to be tested at a future date.

City of Baker: From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., senior citizens of Baker can receive a pre-registration packet to be tested for COVID-19. The packets will be available for the first 450 seniors at Advantage Charter School. More information is available here.

East Baton Rouge Parish: Councilman LaMont Cole is partnering with Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome and Elm Grove Baptist to provide 1,000 masks to District 7 residents.

Baton Rouge: Elm Gove Baptist Church, 1069 N. 39th Street

St. John the Baptist: Free reusable and washable cloth face masks will be distributed on the West Bank and in Pleasure Bend today. Each car will be given one pack, containing five masks.
