Archbishop Gregory Aymond holds ‘Red Mass’ at St. Louis Cathedral

NEW ORLEANS, La (BRPROUD) – Gregory Aymond, the archbishop of New Orleans, presided over the annual Red Cross Mass at the St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans on Monday, Oct. 4 at 9:30 a.m.

The Catholic Bishops of the State of Louisiana and the St. Thomas More Catholic Lawyers Association sponsored the Mass. The Homily was given by Bishop Robert Barron, the auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

The Mass was opened to all faiths and the public. Petitions for blessings were broadened to include everyone in Louisiana who has been impacted by disasters instead of doing requests for blessings.
