Arrest made in connection to shooting on Cletus Drive

BATON ROUGE, LA (LOCAL33) (FOX44) – Baton Rouge Police make an arrest in connection to a shooting on Cletus Drive.

Baton Rouge Police arrested 24-year-old Jermain Bindon on November 7, 2019. He is charged with Attempted 1st Degree Murder and Illegal Use of a Weapon.

On November 4, 2019 around 8:50 a.m. Baton Rouge Police was called to the 3500 block of South Sherwood Forest Blvd. after reports of shots fired.

Officers found a man suffering with gunshot wounds. The victim told police he was shot by a man at a park located in the 10,000 block of Cletus Drive while attempting to buy drugs.

The victim then drove to South Sherwood Forest Blvd. and called police.

He was taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
