ZACHARY, La. (BRPROUD) — A months-long investigation in Zachary led detectives to arrest suspects accused of distributing drugs in the area.

The Zachary Police Department identified the three suspects as 34-year-old Ashley Chaney, 32-year-old Kailey Bourriague, and 32-year-old Joseph Mceachern. Police said Chaney and Bourriague are connected to the illegal distribution of methamphetamine.

Investigators learned that two locations were being used to allegedly distribute and stash drugs. Police said two searches were conducted on Wednesday in Baker and Zachary where the following was seized:

  • 91.7g of methamphetamine
  • 10.2g of heroin
  • 6.5g of MOJO (synthetic Marijuana)
  • 4.7g of marijuana
  • 10 suboxone strips
  • 349 illegal pills

Chaney was arrested on charges of distribution of schedule II, two counts of possession with intent to distribute schedule II, three counts of possession with intent to distribute schedule I, possession with intent to distribute schedule III, possession with intent to distribute legend drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bourriague was arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute schedule II, possession of heroin, possession with intent to distribute legend drugs, and fugitive warrants.

Mceachern was arrested on fugitive warrants.

Law enforcement agencies who assisted ZPD were Baker Police Department, West Feliciana Sheriff’s Office, Constables Office, East Feliciana Sheriff’s Office, and Louisiana State Police Narcotics Division.
