BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Baton Rouge Fire Department responded to a trailer fire on Monday morning.
Upon arrival at 6601 Plank Rd., Lot 13, firefighters found “the rear of the trailer on fire.”
Firefighters went to work putting the fire out a little after 8:50 a.m.
20 minutes later and the fire was under control with the help of seven total units, four pumpers and one ladder.
The trailer is considered a ‘total loss’ after sustaining $24,000 in damages.
The trailer did suffer smoke and water damage.
Fire investigators determined that the fire was started intentionally.
EMS, BRPD and Entergy assisted the Baton Rouge Fire Department at the scene.
