Ascension Catholic High School classes virtual until Aug. 18

ASCENSION PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) – Ascension Catholic High School (ACHS) classes are currently virtual after two students tested positive for COVID on Friday.

Contact tracing found 13 additional cases among students, according to Deacon Dan Borné.

Students in grades 9-12 started virtual classes started on Monday and are expected to return to in-person schooling on Wednesday, Aug. 18, said Borné.

Principal Sandy Pizzolato said the football scrimmage with Catholic of Pointe Coupee scheduled for next week has been canceled.
