BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — It’s almost that time of the year again where families drink hot cocoa and enjoy some of their favorite Christmas movies.
While you are watching your Hallmark movies, there may be a familiar face that comes across your screen. Ascension Parish 9-year old Claire Taranto is kicking off her career in a movie called “Every Time A Bell Rings.”
The film is about three sisters reuniting at their home in Natchez, Mississippi. Claire played the part of Young Emily.
“She’s really bossy, but I don’t really like to be bossy that much. But I enjoyed playing her character. It was really fun to pretend to be bossy,” said Claire.
Her father, Michael Taranto said this rising star first took the stage at two years old. He said her talents were developed in Ascension Parish’s gifted and talented program. She joined in first grade.
“Now she’s just more complex as a person. She’s able to do all sorts of emotions and anything you need her to do,” said Michael.
They said there are some challenges.
“Being noticed, it’s just such a crowded field. You know, it is a lot of work. You miss a lot of school doing it,” said Michael.
Claire said making this film is an experience she will never forget.
“We’re definitely doing a movie night,” Michael added.
Claire and her family will travel back to Mississippi and watch its premiere on November 14th.
The world premiere for Hallmark Movies Now is Nov. 18 and the film will be on Hallmark Channel this December.
