Ascension Parish Baseball to become charter member of official Little League

ASCENSION PARISH, La. (BR Proud) — Impact Sports of Gonzalez has been named the new managing entity to oversee and operate youth baseball programs for Ascension Parish children, ages 3-18.

In a statement from parish government, Impact Sports was recognized as providing an “outstanding experience” for the kids, families, coaches and partnered sponsors of Ascension Parish Baseball.

“This public/private partnership will bring our recreation program to the next level,” said Parish President Clint Cointment.

Cointment added that an affiliation with Little League will give Ascension Parish youth an additional opportunity for league play.

Additional details about the new league, a calendar of events and information on how to get players registered for 2021 will be announced at noon on Thursday, Jan. 14 from the front steps of the Ascension Parish Governmental Complex, 615 E. Worthey Street.

Ascension Parish Baseball is an official charter member of Little League Baseball.
