GONZALES, La. (BRPROUD) — The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office hosted “Christmas for Kentucky” — a toy collection drive for families impacted by Kentucky tornadoes.

“We won’t make Christmas perfect for the children, but we will make it better,” said Sheriff Bobby Webre.

On Monday, Dec. 20, APSO said its delivery team safely arrived in Mayfield, Kentucky. Toys were distributed at Graves County Middle School.

“We hope that this small gesture will help restore these families’ spirits during Christmas as they work to rebuild their lives,” said APSO spokesperson Donovan Jackson.
