Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking public for help in finding missing 50-year-old Prairieville man

PRAIRIEVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) – Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies are asking the public for help in finding 50-year-old Shannon Desharnais of Prairieville.

He was recently reported missing to authorities by a family member.

Desharnais was last seen on Thursday, June 3 in the Donaldsonville area at noon. Authorities said he is known to frequent the RaceTrac gas station and Post Office Chevron gas station on Airline Highway in Prairieville.

Deputies said he is 5-foot-10, weighs 200 pounds and was last seen wearing black shorts, a gray t-shirt, and sandals.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information about Desharnais to contact their office through their anonymous tip line at 225-621-4636 or text 847411. Individuals with information may also contact the Greater Baton Rouge Crime Stoppers at 225-344-7867. For a cash reward, you must contact Crime Stoppers immediately.
