GONZALES, La. (BRPROUD) — Girl Scouts Louisiana East announced on Monday, Oct. 2 that they are hiring Molly Sanchez as the new Chief Development Officer.

“I am looking forward to beginning a new chapter with Girl Scouts Louisiana East,” Sanchez said. “Being a part of an organization that has touched thousands of women’s lives throughout southeast Louisiana makes me delighted to begin working on helping the Council achieve its funding goals in the near and distant future.”

According to a release from Girl Scouts Louisiana East, Sanchez will be supervising the implementation of the Council’s fundraising initiatives, which includes the Capital Campaign for the Council’s two camp properties in Marydale and Covington.

“We are thrilled to welcome Molly to the Council,” said Dr. Rebecca Pennigton, chief executive officer. “Molly’s multiyear career in nonprofit administration as well as her extensive development background will be pivotal in moving the Council’s current and future fundraising goals forward as we expand leadership opportunities for the girls we serve.”
