GONZALES, La. (BRPROUD) — Multiple suspects have been arrested after being accused of participating in sexual misconduct and prostitution in massage parlors.

According to the Gonzales Police Department, after a multi-week investigation, detectives arrested six women accused of practicing illicit activities in the massage parlors. The investigation began in July.

Gonzales Police performed search warrants at the massage parlors listed:

  • Happy Spa, 2819 S. Cabela’s Parkway
  • Magical Massage and Spa, 602 S. Burnside Avenue
  • Oriental Relax Massage, 2325 S. Burnside Avenue
  • Rose Massage, 2705 W. La 30

After conducting the search, authorities arrested the following:

  • Ningye Huang, 62, was arrested on charges of prostitution by massage and practicing massage therapy without a state license
  • Yu Tan, 54, was arrested on charges of practicing massage therapy without a state license
  • Yaping Zhao, 67, was arrested on charges of prostitution by massage and practicing massage therapy without a state license
  • Zou Weilan, 58, was arrested on charges of practicing massage therapy without a state license
  • Wumei Qiu, 52, was arrested on charges of prostitution by massage and practicing massage therapy without a state license
  • Shuying Gao, 55, was arrested on charges of prostitution by massage, resisting arrest, and practicing massage therapy without a state license

All four massage parlors have been closed, according to police.
