UPDATE: ASCENSION PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) – The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office said all three inmates were caught and are back in custody.
ORIGINAL STORY: ASCENSION PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) — Three inmates escaped from the Ascension Parish Jail on Friday night.
According to the police, around 8:30 p.m. three inmates escaped and deputies are currently looking for them.
Blake Menefee, 21, of Gonzales, was charged with illegal possession of stolen firearms, illegal possession of stolen things over 25K, aggravated flight from an officer, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and illegal carry of weapons.
Logan Delana, 27, of Saucier, MS, was charged with illegal possession of stolen firearms, illegal possession of stolen things over 25k, aggravated flight from an officer, possession with intent to distribute Schedule I drugs, and illegal carry of weapons possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Zachary Freman, 30, of St. Amant, was charged with theft of a motor vehicle.
A perimeter has been set in place around the jail. Authorities ask if see the subjects to report them to the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office at 225-621-4636 or call Crime Stoppers at 225-344-7867 (STOP).
