ASCENSION PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) — A Donaldsonville woman was found guilty by a jury in connection to a home invasion case that left one homeowner injured.
Peggy Valentine, 44, was found guilty of attempted first-degree murder and home invasion.
Deputies arrested Valentine after a victim was found with stab injuries on May 4, 2022. The district attorney’s office said the victim was asleep in bed when she was stabbed with a boxcutter. The victim was reportedly taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Sentencing for Valentine is set for Feb. 27.
