Assumption Parish vaccine event to include new booster shots

NAPOLEONVILLE, La (BRPROUD) – Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) will hold a COVID-19 vaccine event in Assumption Parish with three vaccine options and booster shots.

Assumption Parish Community Center will serve as the vaccination site on Thursday, Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The center is located at 4910 La-308 in Napoleonville, La 70390. Appointments are not required and the event is free.

The vaccines that will be available are Pfizer for ages 12 and older, Moderna for ages 18 and older, and Johnson & Johnson for ages 18 and older. Booster shots are available for those who meet the requirements listed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The flu shot will be administered by the Assumption Parish Health Unit.
