PAINCOURTVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a 62-year-old man and a 15-year-old after a fight that happened Monday afternoon.
The incident occurred in the 6000 block of LA Highway 308.
After an investigation by deputies, it was discovered that Richard Lemon, 62, of Belle Rose, and the 15-year-old were involved in a fight. According to APSO, the 15-year-old hit Lemon with a brick and Lemon hit the juvenile in the head with a bottle.
Lemon and the juvenile were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released, according to APSO.
Lemon was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges including aggravated second-degree battery. The 15-year-old was also charged with aggravated second-degree battery.
According to APSO, Lemon remains in jail pending a bond hearing and the 15-year-old juvenile is being held at a juvenile correctional facility.
