BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 44-year-old man on 60 counts of child pornography.

According to the affidavit, Michael Brown, 44, of Baker was arrested Wednesday, Oct. 12, on 60 counts of child pornography and two counts of unauthorized use of a wireless router, linked to child pornography.

The investigation into Brown began when an EBRSO Sergeant and the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime unit were tasked with reviewing Google complaints that were sent to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Arrest documents reveal that 156 images and videos were attributed to Brown’s IP address.

An affidavit confirms officials completed a search warrant for Brown’s accounts, which led to the discovery of child pornography in Google accounts belonging to Brown.
