GEISMAR, La. (BRPROUD) – BASF is to provide $500,000 in hurricane relief and recovery across the state after Hurricane Ida.
$300,000 will go to local nonprofit organizations working toward relief and rebuilding after the storm and $200,000 will go directly to BASF employees affected by Ida.
“BASF will do our part to help team members impacted communities in our region get back on their feet,” said Jerry Lebold, Senior Vice President and General Manager at the Geismar, Louisiana site. “We will continue to work together with the resilient people of Louisiana to help the state come back stronger than ever.”
BASF offers resources to employees such as emergency grants, assistance with storm clean-up and filing insurance claims, temporary housing, interest-free loans, portable gas-powered generators and clean-up and repair products.
