BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A Capitol Middle School student was sent to the hospital after being cut by another student on Monday.
According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, two sixth-grade students got into an argument. One cut the other with a pocketknife, sending them to the hospital for treatment, the sheriff’s office said.
The student was booked into the juvenile detention center and charged with aggravated second-degree battery.
The student’s injuries are non-life-threatening, according to the sheriff’s office.
