BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A Baton Rouge attorney has been nominated by President Joe Biden to the federal district court.
Darrel James Papillion has been nominated to the United States District Court for the Eastern Louisiana District of Louisiana.
Papillion has been a partner at Walters, Papillion, Thomas, Cullens, LLC in Baton Rouge, Louisiana since 2009, according to a press release from the White House. He was also a partner at Moore, Walters, Thompson, Thomas, Papillion & Cullens, A.P.L.C. from 2001 to 2009.
The White House said Papillion received his J.D. from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at LSU in 1994 and his B.A. from LSU and A&M College in 1990.
Papillion is one of four nominated to a federal district court. This is Biden’s 31st round of nominees for federal judicial positions, according to the White House.
