The giveaway starts at 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 22. The Constable’s Office will be giving away over 200 boxes containing a turkey, stuffing, canned foods, beverages and cake mix.

“There’s something special about Thanksgiving dinner with your family,” says Constable Williams. “Unfortunately, there are a lot of people struggling to just put food on the table right now, let alone a full meal for Thanksgiving. I am very grateful to Boosie and Show the World Foundation for helping make the holiday special for as many local families as possible. It is nice to think when they sit down for dinner on Thanksgiving; we get to share a little piece of that with them. The holidays are a time to reflect on what we are thankful for and also a perfect time to share compassion with our neighbors. We want our community to know that we care about them, not just by our words, but also through our actions. It is an incredible privilege to serve the residents of Baton Rouge, and we look forward to continuing to making a difference in our community.”
And that’s not all, the Constable’s Office has a special guest — Boosie is expected to be in attendance.
