BRFD: 1 injured in house fire on N. 25th Street

UPDATE:

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — One person was injured in a house fire on N. 25th Street on Monday, according to a Baton Rouge Fire Department spokesperson.

BRFD officials said firefighters arrived to find neighbors trying to get the victim out of the smoke-filled house. The victim was taken to a hospital.

The fire came from the kitchen and was put under control before spreading throughout the home, according to BRFD. Fire investigators determined that the cause of the fire was due to an unattended pot on the stove.

A BRFD spokesperson said the victim’s condition is unknown at this time.

One person has been transported to the hospital with unknown conditions. Baton Rouge Fire Department does not know the cause of the fire at this time.
