UPDATE: Baton Rouge Fire Dept. arrest man for vacant house fire at St. Vincent DePaul Street

UPDATE: Baton Rouge Fire Department investigators said they took 54-year-old Audrey Fredrick into custody for the vacant house fire. BRFD said that evidence they gathered from the scene led them to him and he was taken into custody without incident.

BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) – Baton Rouge Fire Department (BRFD) has determined that the fire at a vacant house on the 100 block of St. Vincent DePaul Drive was caused by arson.

BRFD responded to the house fire on Saturday and found two people who had escaped and were unharmed. Flames were coming from the middle part of the house. Firefighters were able to contain the fire and investigators were called out.

The investigators from the fire department determined the cause of the fire was arson. BRFD encourages anyone who has information relating to this incident to contact CrimeStoppers or call Baton Rouge Fire Investigators at (225)-389-2050.
