BATON ROUGE, La (WGMB/WVLA)– Since closing it’s Mid-City Emergency room back in 2015, Baton Rouge is making strides to turn the facility around. The hospital is shifting it’s focus to services including outpatient surgery, the Cancer Care Radiation Oncology Center and their Sleep Center just to name a few.
For years the location has served as a central location for residents who live near downtown, North Baton Rouge as well as the Mid-City area. Thursday, hospital staff held a tour of the location to show more of what they’re doing to serve patients.
Mid-City offers more than 20 services and cared for more than 25,000 patients last year.
