BATON ROUGE, La. (FOX 44) (NBC LOCAL 33) – Baton Rouge General’s Family Health Center announces free back to school health screenings at its Mid-City campus on Saturday, July 27th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

This event is for youth up to 18-years-old, and will include vision, hearing and dental screenings as well as physicals.

“The first day of school acts as a good reminder to get your children in for their annual checkup,” said Dr. Vineeth Kumar, a physician at Family Health Center. “It’s important to make sure their immunizations are up-to-date and to keep tabs on their growth progress, and any concerns you may have about vision or hearing.”

This event will also offer nutrition and exercise demonstrations, as well as other activities.
