BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) — A Baton Rouge man will serve 78 months in federal prison for having numerous of videos and images of child pornography on his personal laptop.

According to court documents, 45-year-old Jason L. Istre used ‘sophisticated’ computer programs to download and store images and videos of child pornography. He sought out minors under the age of 18 with the intent of receiving images and videos.

He possessed 1,700 total videos and approximately 45 images.

The court further sentenced Istre to serve five years of supervised release following his term of imprisonment.
